Key People Moves
Berry Diepeveen, based in Amsterdam, has left Bain and joined BCG as Managing Director and Senior Partner. He brings on his expertise in Digital, Technology Enabled Transformations and Advanced Analytics.
After 9 years at Accenture, Siobhán Géhin has joined Roland Berger in their London office. Siobhán will bring her expertise in the Retail and Consumer Sectors, as well as her track record in serving retailers and Private Equity investors.
EY UK have made Chris Woolard leader of their EMEIA financial services regulation capabilities and chair of EY’s Global Financial Services Regulatory Network. Chris joins from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) where he was the interim CEO.
Nick Robinson joins the growing Ankura team in Hong Kong as a Senior Managing Director, where he will be the APAC Regional Leader for Risk, Forensic and Compliance Services. Nick previously led the Forensics in APAC business at PwC and Deloitte and was most recently a Partner at EY in their Forensic & Integrity practice.
After spending nearly two years at Oliver Wyman, Justin Balcombe has decided to join L.E.K. Consulting in their London office as a Partner in the Financial Services Practice, and Co-Leader of their Insurance business. Justin has extensive experience within the Insurance space, working at the senior level within EY, KPMG, Boston Consulting Group, and Oliver Wyman before his most recent move to L.E.K Consulting.
After 4 years of focusing on his own independent advisory firm, Benoit Hochet has joined Roland Berger in Paris, where he will co-lead the Restructuring, Performance, Transformation and Transaction practice.
Arthur D. Little has appointed Robert Clover as the new leader in its European Energy & Utilities practice, based in London. Robert joins from FTI consulting, where he focused on strategic advisory projects for a broad range of clients.
Dennis Buecker has decided to make a move back to Roland Berger in Germany after a 2-year spell away from the firm with LeanOne. Dennis will be joining the firm as a Partner, where he will provide restructuring services.
After 7 years with McKinsey’s Financial Institutions team in London, Evgeny Titel will be joining EY-Parthenon as an Associate Partner focused on Insurance. Evgeny has experience within the Financial Services and Insurance industries, having previously worked for Allianz, Citi, Goldman Sachs, and Kinnevik AB.
Roland Berger have hired Maximilian Dressler, previously a Director at PwC’s Business Recovery team in Germany, thus making another valuable addition to their Restructuring, Performance, Transformation & Transaction team.
Marcel Etschenberg has made a move away from KPMG, and joined Kroll. Marcel is a Managing Director and is now a member of the Business Intelligence and Investigations team in Frankfurt.
Stephan Brouwers, formerly the Head of Restructuring at Deloitte Belgium, has become the CFO of Lunch Garden, a PE-backed self-service family restaurant in Belgium with 75 restaurants.
The legal and professional services group Gateley have hired Mikhail Lastovskiy from Ankura. Mikhail brings with him expertise in Financial Investigations, Forensics, Asset Tracing, Business Intelligence, Risk, and Compliance.
PwC’s former UK & Global Consumer Markets Consulting Leader, Oz Ozturk, has left the world of consulting to join Google as a Managing Director and leader of their Retail Industry division across EMEA.
Oliver Wyman UK has hired Sumati Sharma, who will be a Partner focused on Aviation & Aerospace. Sumati was previously working for Virgin Atlantic/Holidays, holding various roles during her 16-year tenure.
Roland Berger UK has hired Stephanie Mills, former Global Strategy Lead for Avanade, where she was responsible for the firm’s digital capabilities and revenues of their global consulting practice.
Graeme Jeffery has joined Bain UK’s Financial Services team, specifically focusing on enhancing their IT and Operations offering. Graeme has previously worked at both consulting and financial services firms, such as Oliver Wyman, HSBC, Goldman Sachs and UBS.
Vikram Dhaliwal is Oliver Wyman’s latest addition to their Retail and Consumer Goods practice in Amsterdam, which he will be joining from Strategy&.
Former McKinsey Associate Partner Rahul Shah has joined the investment management firm Triton Partners in London.
Alvarez & Marsal UK have hired Amo Chahal, formerly at Deloitte, ending a tenure of 13 years. Amo will join A&M’s Global Portfolio Advisory Business, bringing on experience within banking & capital markets and loan portfolio advisory.
EY Belgium have appointed former PwC and Diagonal Capital employee, Anthony Klepfisch, as a Director leading their Infrastructure practice with the Business Modelling team.
Anne Connolly will join Ankura in their Singapore office as a Senior Managing Director after a 5 year period with HKA. Anne has 20+ years within the construction industry, and will significantly bolster Ankura’s Construction Disputes business within the APAC region.
Promotions & Relocations
Long-standing Capgemini Executive Vice President Henrik Ljungström has been appointed as Head of their German Business Unit, where he succeeds Michael Schulte.
Fabian Billing has been appointed as McKinsey’s new leader in Germany and Austria, succeeding Cornelius Baur.
From March the 1st, Jochen Schoenfelder will be BCG Germany & Austria’s new Transformation and TURN practice leader, with around 200 people in the team.
Aleksander Lyngvi, a member of Bain’s Oil & Gas practice, has made the transition from Oslo to Amsterdam. He specialises in strategy, organisation, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, performance improvement, and digital transformation.
After one year at Roland Berger in London, Olga Talanova has been promoted from Principal to Partner. She focuses on the consumer goods and retail industries, and provides assistance on a range of topics such as supply chain management, store operations, pricing and promotions, and others.
BCG in Brussels has promoted Bart Van Praet to Partner, a member of the team since 2013, who focuses on topics surrounding Chemical Engineering and Energy.
Moreover, BCG have also promoted Shaun Yow, in their London office, to Partner. Shaun leads strategic projects for blue chip companies with a focus on insurance and asset management.
